I've contemplated putting those things that I expense to work on a credit card so that I don't have to budget for these specific things with my regular income but rather budget my reimbursement deposits to the credit card payments. In the last few months I've been letting things slip by because of the hassle of getting reimbursed but I'm determined to stop leaving money on the table like that. The reimbursement process takes about 3 weeks.

There is a YouTube playlist by YNAB which acts as a primer for nYNAB as well. Then the reimbursement amount goes directly to expenses category (not to to be budgeted) which then is used to cover the transfer to the off budget credit card.

Ive read the page on reimbursements, and understand that there are two ways to handle reimbursable expenses: (1) budget for the expense (using your money), and then when you get reimbursed, budget as needed or (2) temporary overspending.
